At the heart of every thriving community lies a commitment to nurturing its future leaders. Here at the Greater Arlington Chamber, we’re proud to play a pivotal role in this endeavor, offering exciting volunteer opportunities within our education programs. We invite small business leaders and owners to join us in selecting the 2024 high school scholarship recipients and finalists for the “What’s Your Big Idea?” Entrepreneurship Contest.
Volunteering in education is not just about giving back; it’s about making a personal impact on someone’s life. As a small business leader, your experience and insights can inspire and guide young minds. The fulfillment derived from helping a student achieve their dreams is immeasurable and resonates far beyond the classroom.
Volunteer for Scholarships – Investing in the Future Workforce
In an ever-evolving world, the importance of education cannot be overstated. By volunteering to help choose scholarship recipients, you directly contribute to shaping the future workforce of our community. These scholarships act as stepping stones for deserving Arlington ISD seniors, providing them with the means to pursue higher education and make meaningful contributions to society.
The “What’s Your Big Idea?” Entrepreneurship Contest – Unleashing Innovation through Volunteerism
For those passionate about fostering entrepreneurial spirit, volunteering for the WYBI Entrepreneurship Contest is a unique opportunity. By participating in the selection process, you contribute to identifying and supporting the next generation of innovators and business leaders. Your involvement can be the catalyst for turning a big idea into a reality, propelling our community forward. *We specifically need virtual judges to evaluate digital entries and Spanish-speaking judges for Spanish submissions.
We also have ample space for volunteers who would like to work the awards ceremony on Saturday, April 27 from 11-4. It’s always an amazing event with a full room and a full heart as you watch hundreds of Arlington ISD elementary and junior high students walk across the UTA stage at College Park Center.
