Develop the Community’s Future
In spite of the United States’ large workforce, 45% of small companies say they struggle to find employees with the skills they are looking for. The talent shortage is even greater for large firms with 67% struggling to fill open positions with qualified applicants. The Chamber directly challenges this ongoing trend through key partnerships with businesses, educational institutions and organizations. Together, we shape the future workforce and develop a skilled talent pipeline for greater Arlington businesses.
63% of Americans believe businesses should be leaders of social change; there is more demand than ever for businesses to invest in the future of their communities. With 87% of Americans saying they will purchase a product from companies that advocate for issues they care about, more businesses are realizing community engagement is a valuable tool for success.
How We Accomplish
Thanks to our valued partnerships, the Chamber offers a variety of ways for businesses to engage the community, cultivate a talent pipeline and create favorable business outcomes. Through the Chamber’s Partners in Education, businesses are supporting academic achievement and educational attainment, aligning school curriculum and fostering entrepreneurship.
Our Mission to Bridge the Gap
The Partners in Education Committee (PIE) serves as a bridge between the business and educational communities. This committee is guided on the principles of enhancing academic achievement, developing college readiness, encouraging workforce preparedness and cultivating leadership, citizenship and responsibility. Through business participation and commitment, we help the Arlington ISD achieve the goal that 100% of students will graduate exceptionally prepared for college, career and citizenship.
