Arlington Urban Ministries’ mission is to provide rent, utility assistance, and food support to families and individuals in urgent need. While their primary goal remains to meet the most basic needs of people in crisis, over the years, they have expanded their programs to support families during the crucial transition from crisis to stability.

Alliance for Children is the only Tarrant County nonprofit organization involved directly in the protection from child abuse through coordinated and teamed investigations with local law enforcement agencies, Cook Children’s Medical Center, JPS Health Network, Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office, Tarrant County Juvenile Services and the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County
Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County is the largest Boys & Girls Club in the state of Texas, providing a range of high-impact special programs and services. They provide services to over 36,000 youth a year, with ages ranging from six to 24. Over the last 18 months, they remained a pillar of consistency in the lives of the youth that they serve. They’ve successfully met the major needs of the community by providing critical resources and support to families across Tarrant County. They promise to continue to do whatever it takes to build great futures for our kids.
The mission of the C5 Youth Foundation of Texas is to change the odds for high potential youth…inspiring them to pursue personal success and preparing them for leadership roles in college, work, and their communities. They do this by engaging middle and high school students from under resourced communities in five years of intensive leadership experiences including year-round leadership development programs, signature summer activities, community action, and preparation for continuing education and career development.
Awesome on The Spectrum believes that teaching life skills gives autistic people the essential tools needed to navigate the world around them. Promoting independence enables individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder to learn to advocate for themselves. Building confidence in people with different abilities helps them to live their best lives. Awesome on the Spectrum, Inc. works to educate the community about the many elements of autism and how the inclusion of autistic people in all aspects of life betters society as a whole.
As a nonprofit leader, United Way brings together individuals, groups, donors, and service providers to help solve some of the toughest social issues affecting Tarrant County. Each year, United Way of Tarrant County helps more than 300,000 people through its resources. United Way of Tarrant County has no fees on donor designations, with 100 percent of the donation going to the selected agency or cause.
H.I.M. Center is a nonprofit agency as designated by the IRS: section 501(c)3. They rely on the generous contributions of faithful friends, local businesses, and corporate donors who share their vision of feeding the hungry. Currently, they serve over 50,000 individuals across North Texas through the Bagged Groceries program, Healthy Families program, Partner Pantry program, and Disaster Relief program. However, it does not stop there. They also participate in the National Angel Food program, Vitamin Relief USA program and are actively involved in spreading the word about the importance of recycling and going green.
Advocates For Special People’s mission is to improve the quality of life of intellectually disabled adults and their families by providing programs for socialization, recreation, and habilitation. The vision for this nonprofit is to enrich the lives of intellectually disabled adults.
Cristo Rey Fort Worth College Prep
Cristo Rey Fort Worth College Prep is a Catholic learning community that educates young people of limited economic means to become men and women of faith, purpose, and service. Through a rigorous college preparatory curriculum, integrated with a relevant work study experience, students graduate ready to succeed in college and in life.
HDNP International’s mission is to feed homeless people, give stationary items to foster children, work with other local organizations, raise awareness in all communities of the world and provide a platform for younger generations to be leaders.
For over 16 years, InspirED has provided free presentations and workshops to schools and community organizations throughout North Texas reaching tens of thousands of students and families.
They currently offer two main presentations. The InspirED College Prep presentation is designed to encourage students and families to be college ready and to provide detailed guidance on such things as admissions, testing, scholarships and the intricacies of applying for financial aid. The InspirED FAFSA Prep presentation and workshop were created to assist students and parents with filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
By providing comprehensive housing, early childhood education, economic mobility, and clinical counseling services, Center for Transforming lives is able to address families’ most critical needs and support mothers in creating long-term sustainability for their families.
ShareFest is a nonprofit organization that serves those who are underserved. These people include domestic violence victims, homeless people, foster children, at-risk children, and senior citizens.

Housing Channel is a certified 501(c)(3) housing nonprofit organization with Community Housing Development Organization status to address critical revitalization needs in targeted areas of the city and county. The mission of Housing Channel is to revitalize distressed neighborhoods and to increase the amount of quality, affordable housing available to low- and moderate-income families and individuals with special housing needs.
The Levitt’s mission is to provide free, culturally diverse music that can be enjoyed by everyone while building community through music. They will achieve this through their music, programs, partnerships, and outreach.
The Levitt Pavilion gives our community an accessible gathering place for free music open to everyone – all ages, all ethnicities, all neighborhoods and all income levels. Levitt Pavilion Arlington brings music and the performing arts to Arlington that thousands are responding to.
SafeHaven works to end domestic violence in a two-fold manner: keep victims safe and hold offenders accountable. River Legacy Foundation’s key initiative is to educate the next generation of environmental stewards using the resources of River Legacy Park and River Legacy Living Science Center. Starting with children as young as 3 years old, their environmental education programs expose children to the wonders of nature and their place in it. Through education, they preserve the Trinity River and its unique eco-system.

The Alzheimer’s Association leads the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia — by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Arlington – Grand Prairie Guide Right Foundation
The purpose of the Arlington – Grand Prairie Guide Right Foundation is to provide mentoring and leadership to the youth of the Dallas – Fort Worth Metroplex community. To that end the organization is committed: To working with middle schools and high schools through an Adopt-A-School mentoring program. To provide leadership and positive male role-modeling to young men through their affiliation with the Kappa League youth program. To serve as a conduit for providing college scholarships awards funds for Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex high school seniors through the annual Metroplex Beautillion Presentation program.
Being a fostered youth used to mean never having a place to call home but BROTHERHOOD FOUNDATION seeks to provide our fostered youth and minorities with a solid foundation and a level playing field in faith of future success by granting them with another means of financial support. They have found that a lot of our youth are never given the proper tools to create success for themselves. By giving the power back to the youth who aren’t wanted, who aren’t cared for properly will open the doors for economic growth. By way of taking charge and supplying confidence building essentials for this forgotten people they can improve their futures. The Apartment Association was born in Aug 1967 out of the collective interests of a small but visionary group of multi-housing owners and managers. During the past 50-years, AATC has grown to include over 1,700 members providing management and related services supporting residents living in over 220,000 apartment homes spread throughout their 9-county region in north-central Texas. They have become known throughout the state and across the nation as an industry leader providing exceptional professional education curricula, effective advocacy initiatives, concise communications mediums, and unique business networking opportunities designed to support and encourage their members. Their vision for the future is quite simple — inspire the marketplace we represent.
The Junior League of Arlington, Inc. (JLA) is a nonprofit, educational, and charitable organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. JLA is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc. (AJLI), which includes 291 Leagues with over 155,000 members in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Great Britain. The Junior League of Arlington welcomes women of all races, religions, and national origins who demonstrate an interest in and commitment to voluntarism. The Arlington Police Association Foundation or APA Foundation is a non-profit charitable organization dedicated to providing financial assistance to Officers and members in need. Thru private donations, community fundraisers, and membership contributions APA is proud to assist those struggling from a catastrophic injury or illness suffered either on the job or off.
The Arlington Board of Realtors mission is to provide members with resources, programs and services necessary to conduct a professional and successful business; to promote a positive REALTOR image within the community; and to be the voice of real estate through advocacy of real property rights.
Hands of Hope is a full time street outreach to the unsheltered homeless in Tarrant and surrounding counties. They focus on those living in locations unsuitable for human habitation, whether that be in a vacant structure, a vehicle, or a tent in a remote wooded area. They search for those who are often forgotten and hidden away. Once they locate an individual, they work to develop a relationship of trust and to provide their basic necessities. Hands of Hope have the ability to complete a coordinated housing assessment for entry into the system for housing assistance, taking that first step with them on site toward leaving the street. They also work to identify the root-cause of their homelessness. Once this root cause is identified, they can then connect them with the correct agency, organization, or program that is best suited to help them while sharing God’s love and never from a place of judgement. Hands of Hope feels that no matter the cause of their homelessness, there is always hope and that there are no hopeless situations.
They do have an Arlington dedicated street outreach team. The HOH Team of 2, drives a marked HOH Vehicle and spend all of their time daily within the city limits seeking out those who are living unsheltered and connecting them with housing opportunities and other resources.
Musical Memory Singers provides individuals who have Alzheimer’s, dementia, or memory related challenges, as well as those who care for them, and community volunteers opportunities to build community, enrich lives and create new memories through joyful singing.
Meals On Wheels of Tarrant County
Meals On Wheels, Inc. of Tarrant County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization that started in 1973 as a collaboration between 11 faith-based organizations in downtown Fort Worth to bring food to the elderly. Over the years, they have grown and now serve all of Tarrant County, providing approximately 1.7 million meals each year to some of Tarrant County’s frailest citizens. By providing home-delivered meals, professional case management, and other needed items or services to our homebound, elderly and disabled clients, they enable them to remain living independently in their own homes, surrounded by a lifetime of memories.

National Medal of Honor Museum
The National Medal of Honor Museum will offer an experience that draws personal and emotional connections to Medal of Honor recipients and their stories, while shedding light on the wars in which they fought and the ideals that the Medal of Honor represents. Visitors will come to understand the meaning and price of freedom—and appreciate the virtue of putting service above self.
The National Medal of Honor Museum will also include an education center aimed at character development in our nation’s youth. A critical part of their mission will be to use the stories of our Medal of Honor recipients to inspire young people, and motivate them to be their best selves.
Arlington Baptist University strives to prepare every student for Christian life and service by integrating faith and learning in the context of an informed biblical worldview that affirms the inerrancy of scripture.
PTA is a grassroots organization made up of parents, teachers and others around the state who have an interest in children, families and schools. PTA membership is as diverse as Texas is in cultures, education levels and parenting skills. By joining PTA, a member becomes part of the largest child advocacy organization in the state with over 500,000 members across Texas.
Membership is open to anyone concerned with the education, health and welfare of children and youth.
The Arlington Historical Society will connect you to Arlington’s past through the Fielder Museum, Historic Fielder House, Knapp Heritage Park, and Arlington Heritage Memorial Grounds. They will share our city’s history through their tours, programs, always changing exhibits, and special events. They present you with the “Faces of Arlington” (people, places, and things) with these incredible venues. The Historic Fielder House, with the latest renovations and exhibits, includes a special section on the Arlington Downs Race Track, bringing the past to life. They are very excited about their new look inside and outside! Visit them and see how many Faces of Arlington you recognize!
Currently, the Arlington Museum of Art presents exhibits that generate interest and bring in visitors from all over the world. In addition to featuring loaned collections and curating shows in-house, long time programs including Children’s Summer Art Camp, exhibit specific lecture series, training classes, workshops, and other programming and events, have moved the AMA into a position of leadership among the Arlington arts organizations. The Museum provides access to exceptional art and shows that are informative and educational to our community and visitors, alike.
Arlington Veterans Park Foundation
The Arlington Veterans Park Foundation was created by Arlington Great Southwest Rotary Club. Its mission is threefold: raise funds to complete the construction of the Arlington Veterans Memorial master plan, ensure that new proposals for veterans memorials fit with existing plans and other memorials, and assist in funding Arlington’s Annual Veterans Day commemoration.
Boy Scouts of America – Longhorn Council
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.
For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through over a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.
Helping Restore Ability envisions a future in which no Texan with a disability lacks the resources they need to live a full and independent life.
Helping Restore Ability was founded as the Arlington Handicapped Association in 1977 by a young man with polio, Sam Provence, and his determined friends. Sam is believed to be the last victim diagnosed with polio in Tarrant County.
Sam and his friends believed with an unswerving passion that a physical disability should not keep a person from participating fully in society and living an independent and active life.
As services expanded beyond the city limits, Arlington Handicapped Association was renamed the Handicapped Resource Association in 1988. Beginning in 1999, Arlington Handicapped Association began doing business as Helping Restore Ability, a name that reflects the goals and mission without the implied restrictions of the word ‘handicapped.’ The legal name was changed to “Helping Restore Ability” in 2011.
Cornerstone Baptist Church’s mission is to reach, disciple, and IMPACT 3000 converts; develop them toward spiritual maturity, as evidenced by discipling others, making wise decisions consistently and managing their lives and households effectively.
Beginning in 2004, The Nicklas Foundation began offering rent-free housing to transplant patients who live too far from a transplant center. To date, they have helped nearly 100 families from 15 states, with transplant patients as young as 4 months old and up to 72 years of age. The organ transplants have included hearts, kidneys, lungs, double lungs, and livers. When possible, they also proudly provide no cost air transport to wounded military veterans.
The Nicklas Foundation is dedicated to promoting organ donor awareness and providing fully furnished rent-free housing for transplant patients who live too far from a transplant center.
Dental Health Arlington is a non-profit organization providing preventive and pain relieving services to low income residents as well as to educate children about good oral hygiene habits.
The Downtown Arlington Management Corporation is a private, non-profit community development organization whose purpose is to forge alliances between property owners, business interests, residents and the City of Arlington to improve and enhance the economic vitality and overall environment of Downtown Arlington. Recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 organization, the Downtown Arlington Management Corporation is professionally staffed, and is governed by a Board of Directors, which is composed of a cross section of stakeholders and community partners.
Great Hearts is a network of tuition-free, in person and online public schools dedicated to improving education nationwide. Green Oaks Education and Support, Inc.
The Mission of Green Oaks Education and Support, Inc. is to provide a quality, person-centered Christian education to individuals with Down syndrome and similar intellectual disabilities by offering them the opportunity to reach their maximum potential academically, vocationally, socially and spiritually; by recognizing the inherent God-given dignity of each person; by preparing them and offering support for community inclusion; and by assisting each person in finding and living out his or her purposeful life. Green Oaks Education and Support, Inc. also strives to provide services and resources to support families and members of the community.
H.O.P.E. began in September of 1996 at Aldersgate United Methodist Church because the congregation wanted to help the children in the neighborhood. H.O.P.E. soon became a non-profit agency and a community-wide organization. Since then, they have served thousands of economically disadvantaged students in the Arlington area.
They currently offer virtual and in-person tutoring in Arlington. They strive to help students improve their grades, their attitudes and their behavior. The services provided by H.O.P.E. Tutoring Center, Inc. are made possible in part through a Community Development Block Grant from the City of Arlington through the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

The Arlington Trolley is managed by the Arlington Entertainment Area Management District (AEAMD). A local government entity created under state law, AEAMD is legally and functionally separate from any other governmental unit. It has its own office and governing body. While it works in cooperation with the City of Arlington, it is not a department or arm of the city government.
The District’s operations are financed by an assessment against the hotel properties within the District that benefit from the trolley services. Guests staying at participating hotels do not pay a fare to ride a trolley.

TRE, which runs between Fort Worth and Dallas, is jointly owned and operated by Trinity Metro and DART.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States is a nonprofit veterans service organization comprised of eligible veterans and military service members from the active, guard and reserve forces.
Besides helping fund the creation of the Vietnam, Korean War, World War II and Women in Military Service memorials, in 2005 the VFW became the first veterans’ organization to contribute to building the new Disabled Veterans for Life Memorial, which opened in November 2010. And in 2015, they became the first supporter of the National Desert Storm War Memorial which is planned for construction at our nation’s capital.
