As we bid farewell to summer and embrace cooler temperatures with relaxation and backyard gatherings, Americans around the country observe Labor Day with a long weekend. This special day honors the labor movement and remarkable achievements of American workers, while also marking the unofficial end of summer.
At the Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce, we believe in the importance of supporting local businesses and the power of the community. So, as Labor Day approaches, let’s remember to ‘Keep It Local’ and celebrate by choosing to shop and dine at local establishments. In doing so, you honor our hardworking neighbors and embrace the true spirit of this holiday—a celebration of the workforce and our resilient communities.
Unsure where to start? We curated three different ways to spend the day, all with businesses from our ‘Keep It Local’ catalog! Explore the full catalog here.
