This is an uncertain time for most, and the business community is no exception. With businesses nationwide closing its doors to stop the spread of COVID-19, Arlington businesses are coming up with creative ways to keep customers engaged.
Downtown Arlington Management Corporation has been highlighting downtown businesses who are implementing innovative ways to deliver products and services to the greater Arlington community. Restaurants that were traditionally dine-in only are offering delivery and curbside pick-up. Places like J. Gilligan’s Bar and Grill, The Hive, Sugar Bee Sweets, Legal Draft Beer Co., Division Brewing, The Tipsy Oak and Mellow Mushroom are open and ready to creatively serve their customers. Mellow Mushroom is also providing free delivery to anyone living in downtown Arlington until March 29.
The greater Arlington community still has a variety of restaurants available to them while practicing social distancing. Additional restaurants participating in delivery or curbside pick-up include Cartel Taco Bar, JR Bentley’s, Flying Fish, Fuzzy’s Taco Shop, The Grease Monkey Burger Shop & Social Club, Hershey’s Palace, Hurtado BBQ, Namoo Koreanbowl, Old School Pizza Tavern, Twisted Root Burger Co. and Urban Alchemy. During this unprecedented time, restaurants are not the only ones innovating to meet the needs of their customers. Catalyst Creative Arts is offering a take-home pottery painting kit. Customers can paint their own piece of pottery and bring their work of art back to the store for firing at their convenience. This is a perfect way to spend a day and have some family-fun while people are away from school and work.
Are you having trouble finding educational activities for children while schools are closed? Well, the Arlington Museum of Art is making sure the arts are available to everyone from the comfort of their home. The Arlington Museum of Art is posting art history inspired projects on their website and Facebook. These projects are also a great bonding opportunity for you and your child.
While many of us are remaining at home, the greater Arlington area is working hard to ensure that consumers don’t miss food and fun. For more information on COVID-19, please visit our page.
