Join the Women’s Alliance of the Greater Arlington Chamber for the 12th Annual Inspired Women Luncheon, affectionately known as IWL. Join us in person on Friday, March 3 at 11:30 at Live! by Loews Arlington for this fantastic event presented by Chase. This event has A LOT jam-packed into the day, and we’ve laid out all the details below.

11:30-1:30   Luncheon with Keynote Address and Awards Presentations (Scholarships, Small Business Grant, Hero & Rising Star Awards)

Lift as You Climb: Deep down, we all aspire to be successful by our own definition. However, success isn’t always followed by joy and happiness. Sitting atop the mountain can be a lonely place if you bring no one with you. Working together and building partnerships and relationships, we all reach our mountain tops faster and with fuller hearts. It’s when we bring others up with us that we’re truly in full bloom in our careers and as individuals.

Keynote Speaker: As the Chief Financial Officer of the Texas Rangers, Kellie Fischer oversees all financial matters and purchasing for the Rangers. She didn’t attain that position overnight. Over the past few years, Fischer has been a key player in a number of the Rangers’ growth initiatives. In addition to aiding the development of an Urban Youth Academy in West Dallas, Fischer was instrumental in the development and construction of the Rangers new Dominican Republic baseball academy, which opened in November 2019. She served a principal role in facilitating the joint venture between the Rangers, The Cordish Companies, and City of Arlington on the $250 million public-private partnership which led to the successful opening of Texas Live! in August 2018 and the $150 million joint venture between the Rangers, Loews Hotels & Co, and The Cordish Companies on Live! by Loews – Arlington, TX, which opened in August 2019. Kellie also has been among the organization’s leaders who brought life to the development and construction of the team’s new Globe Life Field that opened in 2020. We’re also proud to say Kellie is the former Chair of the Board for the Greater Arlington Chamber (2021).

Silent Auction: At the very first IWL, we awarded one $1,000 scholarship with the donation coming from Dr. Judith J Carrier, former President of TTC-SE. That has grown significantly over the years thanks to our Silent Auction & Bling Boxes (more details on those below). 100% of the Silent Auction net proceeds go towards the Dr. Judith J Carrier Scholarship Program. We need all experiences and items donated by Friday, February 18.

Bling Boxes: When you purchase a $50 Bling Box, you are helping send young women to the colleges in our community – UTA and TCC-SE. Just as above, 100% of the net proceeds go toward the Dr. Judith J Carrier Scholarship Program.

Hero & Rising Star Awards: The Hero & Rising Star Awards are the most prestigious awards granted under the Women’s Alliance, recognizing women who are the very definition of a “servant leader”. These recipients continually prioritize their commitment to their community by paving the way for others to create change while leaving a legacy. Scholarships:The Dr. Judith J. Carrier Scholarship Program is dedicated to cultivating and developing the next generation of women leaders by awarding over $19,000 in scholarships this year. Scholarship applications are now closed.

Optional Professional Development: Each year, we provide an optional professional development for our IWL attendees to get the most out of their experience. We are thrilled with our Lift as You Climb Panel this year who will be discussing the importance bringing others up with you. Our panel will be announced soon! The session has a maximum capacity of 150 attendees. Make sure to reserve your seat! There is a separate fee of $20 per attendee, register here. You can only attend this session if you are attending the full luncheon.
