Arlington has been the proud home of the Texas Rangers for almost fifty years. For decades, people from all over Texas have been flocking to our world-class venues to cheer on the Rangers. The construction of Globe Life Field marks a major milestone for the team and the City of Arlington.
Fans were geared up for a groundbreaking opening day and a chance to see the $1.2 billion Globe Life Field. With baseball season currently postponed, many Texas Rangers seemed to think it would be quite a while until they got a glimpse of the stunning new stadium, but the wait is officially over! Globe Life Field is opening its doors to the public for tours.
For the first time since its completion, fans can tour Globe Life Field and get an up-close look at the impressive 1.7 million sqft venue with a retractable roof. Knowledgeable tour guides will share interesting facts and stories about the ballpark and team history throughout the tour. Visitors will have multiple exciting photo opportunities while viewing memorable, behind-the-scenes locations. People can also learn about the impressive features of Globe Life Field include a speakeasy, lounges and more than 100 concession stands.
The Texas Rangers are making health and safety a priority. All tours will be conducted to follow social distancing guidelines. The sizes of groups will be limited, and tickets include a Globe Life Field branded face covering.
“Offering these tours provides an opportunity for our fans to get their “first look” at the beautiful new Globe Life Field,” said Rangers Executive Vice President, Sports & Entertainment Sean Decker. “However, the safety and health of everyone is the main consideration. We will be complying with all CDC recommended guidelines and taking extra precautions to aid in the safety of all employees and guests.”
While this is exciting for baseball fans, the Texas Rangers are also using the first look tours to give back to the community. $5 from every tour ticket will be donated to support COVID-19 relief, and other efforts, through the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation.
