Downtown Arlington Management Corporation is bringing the community together to support our fantastic array of local restaurants with the Drive-in Restaurant Rally. Whether you are craving tacos, barbecue, or Irish nachos, you can find it right here in Arlington! Our local restaurants bring so much joy and vibrancy to our downtown atmosphere; you won’t want to miss it!
The four-day event, Thursday, June 4 – Sunday, June 7, will feature specials from various restaurants and encourages people to shop, dine and spend some time celebrating the downtown Arlington area.
“Downtown Arlington has built a solid reputation over the last decade for our homegrown restaurant and bar scene, locally-brewed craft beer, and start-up communities,” said Maggie Campbell, President and CEO of Downtown Arlington Management Corporation. “These businesses have shown incredible resiliency in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, but now they need our help. If we rally for them, they will rally for us.”
Participating restaurants and bars are offering a variety of dine-in, carry out and curbside pick-up options. Many restaurants have also expanded patio and outdoor seating options. Partial proceeds generated throughout the weekend will benefit Mission Arlington. Patrons will also have the opportunity to make direct contributions to Mission Arlington.
“With the launch of Governor Abbott’s Open Texas Phase II, Downtown restaurants are opening their dining areas to 50% occupancy, and bar owners are opening up to 25% occupancy,” said Campbell. She understands that many restaurants will still struggle to cover costs at 50%. “Our restaurant rally is a way for our local residents can help support our local economy and downtown while helping a great cause.”
