Business Profile: BrandEra

The entrepreneurial spirit runs deep in Arlington natives and Beth Owens is the perfect example. After being unexpectedly laid off from a custom motorcycle manufacturer, Beth and her business partner, Reecanne Joeckel, decided to become their own bosses and open a marketing agency, BrandEra.

Beth has always had a passion for discovery and considers herself a lifelong learner. With a Bachelors degree in Spanish from DePauw University and a Masters in International Management from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, she was well-equipped to travel the world while first working in International Sales. “I enjoyed being right behind the entrepreneur. I thought I would always stay at the edge of the cliff but never jump. Apparently, I can jump,” said Owens, when asked how she decided to start her own business.

First leveraging contacts in the motorcycle industry, Beth and Reecanne later pivoted their clientele in 2008 to take a more philanthropic route with their agency. They now serve a diverse client roster that includes public education, municipalities, nonprofits and professional service providers. Beth said, “The work we do now is very important to us.”

Beth is proud to be a small business owner because it allows her to invent and reinvent while also being flexible and choosing her own path alongside her business partner. Small businesses are the backbone of the greater Arlington community so although BrandEra resides in Fort Worth, Beth and Reecanne have reached into the heart of Arlington and have created amazing campaigns. BrandEra offers brand development, creative campaigns, audio/video and collateral production, social media management, media buying, digital strategies, public relations and special event management. When creating these business profiles, we always ask what business owners would like to promote in their feature, Beth immediately jumped to talking about one of her clients, The Levitt Pavilion. They will be kicking off their season on April 28th with Arlington’s first DreamFest. This one-of-a-kind festival will allow the entire Arlington community to come together for music, culture, food and fun. The Levitt Pavilion Arlington builds community through live music since its inception in 2008.
At the Chamber, we are thrilled to have Beth Owens as a community leader who helped co-found the Women’s Alliance group and serves on the board for AISD’s Education Foundation. Her philanthropy is something to aspire to and we can’t wait to see how she positively impacts the Arlington community next!
