PSK was founded right here in Arlington in 1964. Founders Norman Ervin and Harold Prater chose Arlington as the landing place for PSK because of its amazing community and the team is still very proud to be a part of the Arlington community that is diverse and ever-growing. When they moved offices in 2001, there was no chance that they would move outside of Arlington and now reside near Cooper and Mayfield.
As PSK has grown over the past 60 years, one of the main struggles that they have found is trying to keep pace with the growing need for qualified CPAs and Accountants. The Arlington business community has been booming over the past few decades and has made the need for PSK and businesses like them high. They have been working really hard to try to find the best of the best CPAs and Accountants but are always looking for qualified candidates to join the team!
Although PSK has found some struggles through the years, they have found much more success. After all, you do not last 60 years as a business without knowing a few key ways to make your clients happy and build a sustainable business plan. “One of our core values is a Passion for Developing Relationships. PSK applies this as we build relationships with all our team members, with our clients as we believe having a relationship leads to providing better services, and with our community through involvement in local Chambers of Commerce and with not-for-profit organizations,” says Donna Ryan, Marketing Director of PSK’s Arlington location.
PSK joined the Chamber at the very start of their business almost 60 years ago and have not looked back. Donna Ryan summed up the reason why the Chamber is so beneficial and why they continue to be members even after all this time, “The wisdom of our originating partners, Norman Ervin and Harold Prater, started our involvement with the Chamber. We continue to be active members as we see the intent GACC has in encouraging and uplifting Arlington as a great place to work, live, and play.”
