The Sanford House Celebrates 25th Anniversary by Performing 25 Acts of Kindness

The Sanford House has been staple of the Downtown Arlington area for 25 years! Founder, Sharon Bergstrom, created The Sanford House for residents and visitors to have an accessible luxurious experience. Over the past 25 years, The Sanford House has expanded the services they offer, as of 2022, you can expect their services to include event space rentals, bed & breakfast, catering, a restaurant, a bar and a lavish spa experience.

At the beginning of 2022, The Sanford House announced that they would be celebrating their 25 years by performing 25 Acts of Kindness. As the year comes to a close, we would love to highlight each of those 25 acts and show appreciation for all that The Sanford House does for the Arlington Community.

1. Provided Snacks for Donors at a Carter BloodCare Blood Drive

 

2. Provided a Nice Dinner for the Arlington Fire Station Crew

3. Held a Staff Book and Board Game Donation Drive for the Friends and Foundation of Arlington Public Library Spring Book Sale

4. Provided a Gourmet Breakfast for Kooken Elementary School Cafeteria and Custodial Staff

5. Attended the Nichols Junior High Food Bank Ribbon Cutting with Plans to Volunteer Soon

6. General Manager, Valerie Landry, Partnered with Shea in a Miracle League Baseball Game

7. Donated Prom Shoes to Junior League of Arlington’s Glass Slipper Boutique

8. Valerie Landry Spoke at UTA Business Week

9. All Students at Kooken Educational Center Received a Toothbrush and Toothpaste

10. Cleaned the Atrium at Kooken Educational Center

11. Provided Hors D’oeuvres at the Speer Elementary School’s Spring Fine Arts Showcase

12. Sanford House Staff Participated in the Fort Worth Runner’s Club Memorial Day 5k

13. Provided Cones for Cops at the Arlington Police Department’

14. Donated 150+ Towels to Arlington Animal Services

15. Provided Lunch for Speer Elementary School Custodians, Nurses and Admin Team

16. Hosted a Flights & Bites Fundraiser for Rotary Club of Arlington to Benefit their Polio Plus Fund

17. Gathered Supplies for Alliance for Children in Partnership with Yelp Elite

18. Gave a Tour of the The Sanford House, had a Q&A Session and Provided Lunch to the Culinary Students from the Dan Dipert CTC

19. Wrote “I See You” Letters for Hagar’s Heart Boxes

20. Sponsored First3Years’ Fundraiser Event Space

21. Helped Break Down Arlington Field of Honor

22. Sponsored Speer Elementary’s TKC Mirror Project

23. Collected Canned and Dry Food Donations for Christmas Providers in Partnership with Yelp Elite

 

24. Provided Hot Chocolate for Students at Kooken Elementary School

25. Placed Wreaths at the Headstones of Every American Veteran in the Arlington and Parkdale Cemeteries
