Medical City and HCA Healthcare Support Local Foodbanks

Our hospitals are on the front lines of the fight against COVID-19, and we are thankful for our healthcare heroes. During this unprecedented time, Medical City Healthcare and its parent company, HCA, are committed to supporting their patients and the community.

In response to COVID-19, HCA Healthcare has allocated more than $1 million in charitable funds through the HCA Healthcare Foundation. HCA is using these funds to benefit communities across the nation.

At the request of Medical City Healthcare, $100,000 of these funds will go towards local non-profits such as North Texas Food Bank and Tarrant Area Food Bank. This charitable donation will help these non-profits hire displaced hospitality employees while feeding our community.

“Good nutrition is fundamental to good health,” said Erol Akdamar, FACHE, President of Medical City Healthcare. “Our community is counting on us now more than ever and these grants to the North Texas Food Bank and the Tarrant Area Food Bank allow us to help two outstanding organizations as they offer jobs to those in need and address our region’s escalating hunger problem as a result of this pandemic.”

Medical City and HCA Healthcare are truly going above and beyond to support greater Arlington and communities all over the US. The Chamber is truly grateful and proud to showcase their generosity. CLICK HERE to learn more about how Medical City is helping our community.
