IMPACT stands for Intellectual Momentum & Professional Advice to Champion Tomorrow.
Through this mentorship program, young professionals in greater Arlington will build relationships with established Greater Arlington Chamber members through a year-long mentorship program. To kick off our first year, we are hosting a pilot program that will run from June to December 2021.
Pilot Year, 2021: Along with a packet of best practices and guiding conversation topics, the mentor and mentee will visit once over the summer and once in early fall. Understanding the implications of the pandemic, pairs can choose to meet virtually or in-person. The IMPACT Mentorship Program will then wrap up with a Mentor-Mentee Mix & Mingle in November of 2021.
Program Eligibility: The only requirement to participate as a mentor or mentee is your business/organization must be a member of the Chamber in good standing. Young professionals, according to the Chamber’s YP group, are under the age of 40.
Be a Mentor: The size of our IMPACT Class of 2021 depends on the number of mentors. If you would like to help upcoming young professionals in the area and become a mentor for this program, please fill out the YP Mentor Interest Form by 5:00 PM Monday, May 24. Mentor-mentee pairings are based on answers to this electronic form and will be announced in June. Please share the mentor interest form with any Chamber member wishing to become an IMPACT mentor.

Program Timeline: While a more detailed 2021 timeline of events will be sent out to mentor-mentee pairings, below is an overview of the 2021 pilot program.
- May: Open Application
- Mentor Applications Close Monday, May 24
- Mentee Applications Open Monday, May 24 and close Friday, May 28 (first-come-first-serve basis)
- June: Announce Mentor-Mentee Pairings
- June-July: First Visit with Mentor
- August: Mentees attend professional development class
- August-October: Second Visit with Mentor
- November: Mentor-Mentee Mix & Mingle
- December: Program evaluation; begin recruiting for the IMPACT class of 2022.
