Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce Elevates Partners in Education Committee to Board-Level

The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce the elevation of Partners in Education (PIE) to a board-level committee, a move that reflects PIE’s outstanding contributions to fostering collaboration between local businesses and educational institutions.

“PIE has consistently played a pivotal role in enhancing the educational landscape of our community.” said Chamber President and CEO Michael Jacobson, “Their dedication to creating meaningful partnerships between local businesses and schools has had a profound impact on the future workforce of Arlington.”

This elevation to a board-level committee underscores the Chamber’s commitment to developing the community’s future. Long-time Chamber member and second chair-elect of the Board of Directors, Susser Bank’s Joni Wilson will chair the committee with The Sanford House’s Valerie Landry as vice chair.

“I’m confident this elevation will provide PIE with additional resources and support to expand their reach and impact within the community.” said new PIE Chair Joni Wilson, “I’m a lifelong Arlington resident and graduate of both Arlington ISD and UTA. This is personal to me in the best way. By fostering these connections, the Chamber aims to create a stronger, more vibrant local economy and enable our future workforce to have good, high-paying jobs.”

Cultivating the future workforce is a must for any community to stay at the forefront of economic development and innovation. The Chamber is actively seeking industry representatives from a cross-section of our community’s job creators and welcomes any and all interested in partnering with PIE or volunteering with the committee.
