Ella B’s Gives Back this Holiday Season

As the season of giving approaches, our community continues to step up and help those in need. We are fortunate to have an abundance of businesses in Arlington that support and encourage the charities caring for our city. Local businesses can be the greatest source of corporate citizenship and the Chamber is thrilled to have so many members that give back.

Patricia and Patrick Whitfield, owners of Ella B’s Restaurant, search for ways to do just that. Our Arlington community embraced their new restaurant and to express their gratitude they partnered with the Arlington Life Shelter and AISD.

The husband and wife duo catered in the DFW area for over 15 years before they decided to make the switch to the restaurant business. Combining their experience with passion, they created a menu filled with southern, Cajun, Nigerian and Jamaican cuisines.

Ella B’s provided for 250 Arlington students in transitional homes last December by partnering with local organizations. Students received community resources, toys from Santa, and a traditional Christmas meal served by celebrity guests.

Through Ella B’s Generous Hands, a 501c3 Corporation, they rounded up community supporters who adopted families and fulfilled their holiday wish lists. They hosted their second annual Holiday Giveback event by serving at the Arlington Life Shelter and providing for over 500 AISD students and their siblings at the Arlington ISD sports Complex.

Thank you to all of our outstanding community members who go above and beyond to support Arlington! If you are interested and looking for other ways to give back during the holiday season, check out our recent blog for more ideas here.
