Early Voting Begins April 19th

Early voting for the May 1st local and Special Elections starts Monday, April 19 at 8:00 AM.

Local elections will be held in Arlington, Pantego and Dalworthington Gardens.   In Arlington four City Council Districts, the Mayor of Arlington and several positions on the Board of Trustees of the Arlington Independent School District will all be contested.   Voters in Pantego will select the mayor and two city councilmembers.     DWG voters will elect three Aldermen.  A special election to replace Ron Wright as the Member of Congress representing the Texas 6th Congressional District coincides with the local elections.

Of the 43 early voting polling locations in the county, 7 are in Arlington: the Bob Duncan Center, the Elize Odom Athletic Center, the Center for Community Service Junior League of Arlington, the City of Arlington South Service Center, the Tarrant County Sub-Courthouse in Arlington, the Tarrant County College Southeast Campus EMB, and the University of Texas at Arlington’s Maverick Activities Center.

Remember to bring your Texas driver’s license or Texas ID Card issued by the DMV.  If you don’t have either, other identification options may be found HERE.   Be sure to check the Tarrant County Website or call the Tarrant County Elections Administration at 817-831-8683 for further details of when and where you can cast your ballot as hours of operation vary by day.

Applications for Ballot by Mail may be downloaded from the Tarrant County website here and should be submitted no later than Tuesday, April 20 by mail to the Early Voting Clerk at PO Box 961011, Fort Worth, TX 76161-0011.  Applications may be faxed to 817-850-2344 or emailed to votebymail@tarrantcounty.com.
