TotalCare ER Extends Patient Care to Kenya with TotalCare Foundation

“Our mission at TotalCare is to transform lives through compassionate patient care. But that doesn’t stop at our offices in North Texas! Through the TotalCare Foundation, our passion for patient care extends all the way to Eldoret, the fifth largest city in Kenya.”

If you are an Arlington native or just someone who loves coming to Downtown Arlington, you have probably passed the TotalCare ER on Cooper. This location is only one of eight in the DFW metroplex. At this location, they offer extensive emergency care to all patients. TotalCare ER guarantees a shorter wait time compared to a traditional ER and takes almost every type of  health insurance. The other branches of TotalCare include Urgent Care, Primary Care, Behavioral Health, and their Nonprofit Mission Clinic.

TotalCare’s Mission Clinic is called the Rapha Clinic and is located in Eldoret, Kenya.

According to their website, Eldoret is the fifth largest city in Kenya, East Africa. TotalCare’s mission clinic in Eldoret, Kenya offers multispecialty care for patients ranging from primary care to children immunizations, mother and child care, cancer screening, and counseling. TotalCare’s mission clinic is open Monday to Saturday and offers doctor consultations at subsidized rates.

The Rapha Clinic also hosts special medical camps for families in the Rift Valley region to get a free wellness check and discounted health services.

In 2021, 11 TotalCare Staff members had the opportunity to visit the mission clinic to host a 3-day event to offer free medical care to the community. They also brought supplies and equipment to the clinic. The equipment brought over included a portable sonogram which gave one special woman the opportunity to have her first check-up as a soon-to-be mother!

TotalCare Foundation’s missions include providing compassionate care without discrimination, offer TotalCare expertise, resources, and values to operate charitable facilities to the highest standards of excellence, and with a uniting TotalCare pride and purpose and lastly, follow Jesus Christ in healing the sick, helping the hurt, and sharing the good news of the Kingdom of God.

The TotalCare Foundation was just launched this year and has a lot of future plans to extend its mission in 2023. If you would like to get involved with the Foundation or mission clinic, CLICK HERE.
