Theatre Arlington is opening its curtains for their 50th season in 2023!
To launch its 50th season they have announced a fantastic lineup of shows! The opening show of 2023 will be “Gypsy: A Musical Fable” with opening night on February 10th.
To further celebrate the 50th anniversary, Theatre Arlington has planned 50 acts of kindness throughout the year, the unveiling of the Theatre Arlington Walk of Fame, the 50th Anniversary Gala, and the 50th Anniversary book that commemorates 50 years of live theatre in Arlington.
Theatre Arlington has made monumental changes in recent years, such as an entire theater renovation with all-new lobby, seating, classrooms, wing space extension, box office, lights, sound and projections, and a revolving stage in the time they had been closed during the pandemic. All of this was possible thanks to a $2 million grant from the Arlington Tomorrow Foundation plus a $1.4 million capital campaign.
In 2022, Theatre Arlington received the Chamber’s Nonprofit of the Year award at the State of the City event. They continuously give back to the community in many forms, including outreach. Some of their partnerships include AISD, Safe Haven, Arlington Life Shelter, UTA, and the Arlington Cultural Arts District.
We want to congratulate Theatre Arlington on their continued success over the years and are thrilled to see what they have in store for the next 50 years!
