As the residents of the greater Arlington community practice social distancing, it doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice being social. Yep, you read that right! In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, Governor Gregg Abbot issued a waiver that allows restaurants to deliver alcohol with food purchase, including beer, wine and mixed drinks. While this is excellent news for those who miss visiting their favorite social hot spots, it also allows restaurants the ability to operate as it is accustomed to without losing a major source of revenue.
“The State of Texas is committed to supporting retailers, restaurants, and their employees,” Abbott said in a statement. “These waivers will allow restaurants to provide enhanced delivery options to consumers during this temporary period of social distancing.”
