Salter Bros. Coffee Roasters has quickly become an Arlington staple. Their philosophy is every good day begins with cup of coffee. To support our healthcare heroes during this unprecedented time, Salter Bros. came up with a great way to help Texas Health Arlington Memorial’s emergency department start their day.
Salter Bros. donated a variety of their signature drinks including their hot brewed Arlington Blend, the Original Dark Nitro Cold Brew made on tap at their coffeehouse and their premium peach iced tea.
“We wanted these to be in the care package for the emergency department and lab workers for Arlington Memorial, especially since they’re literally right down the street from us,” Managing Partner, Cindy Salter said.
The idea to support Texas Health Arlington Memorial workers started by speaking with their neighbor. “Our next-door neighbor helps run the Arlington Memorial Lab and we were talking literally over the fence last week, asking him how things at the hospital were going. He told us that it’s really rough on the front lines at the emergency department and that he’s exhausted after his shifts. So, he helped us coordinate getting our donation to the front lines.” said Cindy Salter.
Shortly after John provided the donation, the emergency department director emailed him a sincere thank you. “We knew they enjoyed it, and that made us feel like we’d done a little good in our part of the world. A small gesture can go a long way. We wish we could do more!” Cindy Salter said.
A couple of days after this original donation, they teamed up with, Social House Arlington, and provided coffee and tea for meals they were planning to drop off to Texas Health Arlington Memorial.
