Greater Arlington To Honor Those Who Have Served This Veterans Day

In the US, we recognize the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served in the military every year on November 11. Arlington, Texas is the proud home of more than 18,000 veterans. This Veterans Day, greater Arlington is coming together to commemorate our veterans with a patriotic ceremony in their honor.

The Arlington Great Southwest Rotary is hosting the 13th annual Veterans Day ceremony Wednesday, November 11, 2020, at Veterans Park (3600 W. Arkansas Lane). All Arlington residents are invited to attend. The ceremony honors the heroic people who have served our country with special recognitions of the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II. The ceremony begins at 11 a.m. and will also be live-streamed on the Arlington Veterans Day Observance Facebook page.

This memorable ceremony will feature speakers that will thank our veterans for keeping our country and community safe. Event speakers include Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams, U.S. Rep. Ron Wright and keynote speaker Air Force Col. Dean Sniegowski. Attendees are also invited to a complimentary lunch at the Veterans Park Pavilion following the ceremony.
