Jim Ross of Jim Ross Law Group knows what it’s like to serve on the front lines. He served his country as a US Marine. He served his city as an Arlington police officer. Now, he is committed to serving greater Arlington and North Texas as a role model for all small business leaders. Time and time again, he has proven to be an individual and business that the community can rely on. During this unprecedented time, Jim Ross decided that he wanted to show his appreciation for those keeping our community safe.

With the help of the Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks, Dallas Stars, Dallas Wings, American Airlines Center and Coach Bob Stoops, Jim Ross made a heartfelt video showcasing North Texas’ gratitude for our emergency service workers. We are proud to see fellow Chamber members and the greater Arlington community rally behind those on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic.

We indeed are stronger together, and the overwhelming support behind Jim Ross’ project goes to show our community’s unique commitment to kindness. “We all partnered up with each other for a reason. That’s because there is a mutual respect that we all try to do what we can to help our community and to support one another,” said Ross.

Jim Ross was motivated to show his support because of his compassion and personal experience. “Not only am I a veteran, but I am a former police officer here in Arlington. I know first hand about being out on the streets and dealing with crisis situations,” said Ross.

It’s times like this that Jim Ross reminds us to think about those who are making sacrifices to keep us safe. “There are a lot of people out there who day in and day out put their personal lives in jeopardy to help. Without the work they are doing, Lord only knows where we would be with this pandemic,” said Ross. “They are not running around saying look at what I did, but we should be saying look at what they are doing.”

While Jim Ross is thanking our hardworking medical workers, his heart goes out to the small businesses that are facing uncertainty. For businesses that are struggling, he stressed the importance of relationships. “If you can nurture relationships, those people will look to encourage you, help you get business and rely on you.”

Jim Ross Group is offering support to businesses and the community.
