Early Voting Is Open in Tarrant County

Early Voting for the Primary Runoff Election started on Monday, June 29, 2020. Tarrant County Elections Department has implemented the following safety guidelines for voting in person.

Practice social distancing. Floor markers will mark the 6 feet distance we are asking everyone to observe while waiting in line. There may be some variation due to the size of the polling location.

Wear a mask or face covering. We strongly encourage everyone to wear a mask while you wait in line. The Election Judge will still need to see your face when you show your valid ID.

Scrub in and scrub out. Hand sanitizer will be at the check in table, please use some before handing your ID to the poll worker. Hand sanitizer will also be at the exit for use after you have scanned your ballot. Make sure your hands are dry while handling your paper ballot. A wet ballot may not scan properly.

Additional steps you can take to make your in person voting experience healthier.

Review your sample ballot first. Take a look at what will be on your ballot and make your decisions before heading to a Vote Center so you can minimize the amount of time you are spending inside. Click here to review our sample ballot. You CAN bring printed copy of your sample ballot to help you remember your decisions. You CANNOT use your phone while in a Vote Center.

Leave your children at home. We understand how important voting is and that many of us bring children to experience the process with us. This time, however, we are asking that only voters and their translators (if needed) be present, if at all possible. This will help to minimize exposure for everyone, including our Election Judges and Clerks.

Thank you all for your understanding and cooperation! Click here to view Vote Center locations.
