So mark your calendars for the College & Career Expo that will take place Tuesday, March 28, 2023, from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center.
This free event will partner employers with juniors and seniors from AISD who have gained experience through the career and technical education programs so that students have the opportunity to find meaningful careers in the community. Students have studied in CTE programs like:
- Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
- Architecture & Construction
- Art & Communications
- Automotive Technician
- Business Marketing
- Computer Maintenance
- Cosmetology
- Culinary
- Education and Training
- Engineering & Robotics
- Finance & Accounting
- Health Sciences
- Hospitality & Tourism
- Law, Fire, Public Safety, & Corrections
- Precision Metal Manufacturing
- Veterinary Medicine
- Welding
At the expo, employers will have a table to set up, and one to two company representatives can attend to interview students about their experience and skills. Employers can then discuss the next steps in pursuing employment or where to find opportunities in the future with students that meet their qualifications.

Students will be preparing ahead of time with career lessons and interview prep. They will refer to the AISD Career Board during the lessons. Fill out this form if you want to add a current opening to the board before the expo.
