South Texas Vocational Technical Institute (STVT) is proud to announce a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony celebrating the launch of three new skilled trades programs at its Arlington campus: Electrical, Automotive Service Technician, and Diesel Heavy Truck.

The event will take place on Thursday, March 12, 2026, from 11:00 am– 2:00 pm and will bring together community leaders, employer partners, educators, and workforce advocates to mark an important milestone in expanding hands-on career training opportunities in the Arlington area.

This celebration will recognize STVT’s continued investment in workforce development and its commitment to preparing students for in-demand careers that directly support the regional economy. Guests will have the opportunity to tour newly equipped labs, meet instructors and campus leadership, and learn more about how these programs are designed to align with employer needs and industry standards.

The Ribbon Cutting will include remarks from campus leadership, networking with local business and community partners, and a closer look at the training environments that help students build real-world skills from day one. Light refreshments will be provided.

STVT’s Electrical, Automotive Service Technician, and Diesel Heavy Truck programs are designed to prepare students for essential roles in growing industries where skilled professionals are needed now more than ever. This event marks an exciting step forward in strengthening the local talent pipeline and supporting economic growth in the Arlington community.
