Arlington Urban Ministries (AUM) is honored to celebrate 25 years of serving the Arlington community with compassion, dignity, and hope. Founded in 2001 by a coalition of local churches, AUM has grown into a trusted nonprofit dedicated to helping individuals and families facing financial hardship. For a quarter of a century, our mission has remained the same: to provide critical assistance and empower our neighbors to move toward stability and self-sufficiency.

At the core of our work is direct financial assistance, helping prevent utility shut offs and evictions so families can remain safe in their homes. Each year, hundreds of households turn to AUM during times of crisis, and we are committed to responding with both urgency and care. Beyond immediate relief, we believe in equipping individuals with the tools they need for lasting change. Through our enrichment programs, clients have access to financial literacy classes, job readiness support through our Ready2Rise program, life coaching, and grief support services.

AUM also operates Nu2U Resale, which plays a vital role in supporting our mission. The upscale resale store provides quality, affordable goods, volunteer opportunities, and a space where neighbors can connect and give back.

As we mark this 25-year milestone and celebrate our new facility, we are incredibly grateful for the donors, volunteers, and community partners who have made this work possible. Arlington Urban Ministries remains committed to walking alongside our neighbors in need—offering hope, support, and a path forward for the next 25 years and beyond.
