Join us for a conversation with UTA Women’s basketball coach, Shereka Wright. A leader on and off the court, she has guided the team to historic heights. In 2022, she was named the Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year by guiding the Lady Mavs to a 20-8 record and the Sun Belt Tournament Championship. That earned the conference’s automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament for the third time in school history and the first since 2007. Coach Wright was named SBC Coach of the Year in addition to Texas Coach of the Year by Dave Campbell’s Texas Basketball.

Coach Wright will share her insight into being a female leader and guiding the next generation of young women to find their potential. She will discuss how she’s been intentional to work with her players and coaching staff to develop strong results for the team, the program, and UTA.
