Join us for a Women’s Alliance Professional Development virtual seminar, Tuesday, August 24^th at noon with special guest Alison Birch, Assistant Professor and Fellow of the Goolsby-Alcon Endowed Chair in the College of Business at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) as she speaks on “How to Be a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Advocate – Whoever You Are, Wherever You Are.”

Advocating for DEI involves an important set of competencies that no one is innately endowed with but that any willing person can develop with practice and time. In this talk, I will share a framework for assessing your intercultural awareness and offer some practical guidance on how you can become a DEI champion whenever and wherever there’s a need. The goal is to empower you to recognize and seize opportunities to advance this important work regardless of your formal or informal role in doing so.
