Performance appraisal systems are evolving to focus on coaching and dialog between managers and employees. George Benson will present current research on ways to encourage frequent, honest, and developmental feedback in organizations. In particular, we will discuss ways in which leaders can coach for performance improvement and create a feedback culture that promotes employee learning and engagement.
Dr. George Benson is Chairman of the Department of Management and Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington. He was Director of UTA’s top-ranked Masters in Human Resource Management program 2010-2018. Dr. Benson earned his Ph.D. from USC and completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship at the Center for Effective Organizations in the Marshall School of Business.
