The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce is committed to strengthening the local business community by investing in the future workforce of Greater Arlington.
The Chamber’s Partners in Education Committee (PIE) serves as a bridge between business and education, aligning classroom curricula with workforce needs. Through PIE, professionals can get involved in a multitude of ways and make a meaningful difference in students’ lives, while also cultivating a strong, local talent pipeline.
Career Exploration & Mentorship
Volunteers can participate in career-focused initiatives, such as the College & Career Expo or serving on industry panels, to help students visualize their future. Business leaders provide insight into their industries, career paths and workforce expectations.
What’s Your Big Idea? Entrepreneurship Contest
This annual entrepreneurship contest encourages innovation, creativity and business fundamentals. Volunteers can assist by serving as contest judges or supporting the upcoming Feb. 4 awards ceremony, helping evaluate student ideas and celebrating entrepreneurial thinking.
Chamber Scholarship Programs
Each year, the Chamber awards scholarships to graduating seniors in Arlington ISD and students attending the University of Texas at Arlington and Tarrant County College Southeast Campus. To date, more than $474,000 has been awarded. Volunteers are needed to evaluate applications or serve as interview panelists, playing a key role in supporting students’ educational journeys.
National Civics Bee
Designed to encourage civic engagement and knowledge, the National Civics Bee provides opportunities for volunteers to review student essays or serve as judges during the live competition.
