The Greater Arlington Chamber’s Women’s Alliance awarded $31,000 in small business grants and college scholarships. Both programs are funded through donations made at the Women’s Alliance’s annual Inspired Women Luncheon.
Three Beth Owens Small Business Grants were given this year to women-owned businesses in the greater Arlington area that have operated for five years or less, with a $4,000 cash award, gifts, professional and business services to encourage the growth of their businesses. Named in honor of Beth Owens, the founding chair of the Women’s Alliance, this grant program recognizes her commitment to supporting women entrepreneurs in Arlington.

The Path Forward Support Services
The Path Forward Support Services is expanding access to specialized, trauma-informed mental health care for adolescent girls and women. Through compassionate, evidence-based and body-centered therapy, they help clients heal from trauma and emotional distress, so they can live whole, authentic and empowered lives.

Viva De Beauty Professional Academy
Viva De Beauty Professional Academy is on a mission to become Texas’s leading nail and beauty education academy, training highly skilled, confident and industry-ready professionals. Their vision is to turn passion into a licensed career and raise the standard of excellence across the beauty industry.

At the first IWL, the Chamber awarded one $1,000 scholarship donated by Dr. Judith J. Carrier, former President of TTC-SE and the first-ever Chairwoman of the Greater Arlington Chamber Board of Directors (2005-2006). Dedicated to cultivating and developing the next generation of women leaders, The Dr. Judith J. Carrier Scholarship Program awarded $19,000 in scholarships this year.
