The Arlington Museum of Art, in partnership with Arlington Independent School District, is putting on its annual Youth Art Month.
From March 3rd-23rd, the museum will display artwork from Arlington elementary, junior high, and high school art students. These aspiring student artists prepare drawings, paintings, clay sculptures, and more for the gallery.
The event, at 201 W Main St, is free to the public and helps showcase the talented students in our community, you won’t want to miss it.
The month-long event has been part of the museum’s history since 1990 and has become one of Texas’ largest Youth Art Month events. Arlington’s Youth Art Month is held each year in spring to align with the National Youth Art Month, created in 1961, and the Texas Youth Art Month held at the capitol.
The collaboration is vital to the museum’s mission of encouraging young artists, supporting art education, and engaging with the community. Whether you are a student, parent, teacher, or art lover, this showcase is for you. Click here for additional information about the event.
If your young artist is not able to participate in this spring event at AMA, they also offer a summer camp that can allow your child’s artwork to shine. For more information on how to register for camp, click here!
