Rodeo fans, you don’t want to miss the action coming to Arlington this year! For the first time ever, the Professional Bull Riders World Finals: Unleash The Beast is coming to the Lone Star State. The world’s top bull riders will be competing against each other on November 12-15, 2020, at AT&T Stadium.
While the Professional Bull Riders have competed in Arlington before, this is the first time the world finals have left Las Vegas in 26 years.
“We’re incredibly excited about PBR’s decision to bring the World Finals to The American Dream City as the sport continues its rich history at AT&T Stadium,” Arlington Mayor Jeff Williams said. “This larger-than-life, premiere bull riding competition captivates an international audience and it’s the perfect fit for our world-class Entertainment District.”
The World Finals is the most prestigious event in bull riding. The competition offers a $1-million bonus and coveted gold buckle to the PBR world champion and a $300,000 check to the event winner. Initially, the World Finals were scheduled for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, but has been moved due to COVID-19 restrictions.
“The PBR World Finals, the biggest event in bull riding, will crown our next champion rider and bull in the NFL’s largest stadium in the heart of cowboy country, giving fans the sport they love in a comfortable, socially distanced environment,” PBR Commissioner Sean Gleason said.
“We are very grateful to Governor Abbott and the state of Texas, who moved at lightning speed to make this happen, as well as our partners in the city of Arlington, the Visitors Bureau, CBS Sports and AT&T Stadium for welcoming PBR and our loyal fans for championship week.”
Tickets will go on sale on Oct. 5. The events will also be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
