Greater Arlington nonprofits have been helping families, businesses and front line workers in need during this unprecedented time. The City of Arlington is helping eligible, local nonprofits secure CARES Act funds to help them continue to support our community.
The City has released a request for proposals (RFP) for nonprofit organizations to apply for Community Development Block Grants (CDBG) CARES act funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). This is a part of a three-phase action the City is taking as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The RFP is open to all organizations providing essential services to low and moderate-income Arlington residents.
Up to $1,003,600 in funding available for organizations providing a direct response to COVID-19 pandemic needs. This includes transportation, food, meal delivery, childcare and job skills training. CLICK HERE to view the application.
The Chamber is proud to continue to see effective leadership from the City during this difficult time. Our community working together to help one another is what makes us strong, because together, we succeeded.
Applications are due May 22, 2020. Funds are available to current CDBG sub-recipients and new applicants. For more information or questions, email grantsmanagement@arlingtontx.gov. To learn more about the City of Arlington’s response to the COVID-19 Pandemic, CLICK HERE.
