Whether you want to work with robotics, build racecars, participate in cutting-edge research or learn from world-class faculty, the University of Texas at Arlington is for you. As a Carnegie R1 research university, UTA is known as an innovative research powerhouse.
Becoming a STEM Maverick opens up a world of opportunities to you. UTA is one of only six universities nationwide to be named a “Next-Generation University” by the New America Foundation for its cutting edge research, and its College of Engineering is ranked among the top 100 in the nation.
UTA is meeting the needs of a new generation of highly skilled scientists and innovators. In 2016, UTA opened the Science & Engineering Innovation & Research Building (SEIR), a $125 million investment in collaborative research. UTA students are using their STEM degrees to solve some of the toughest challenges like battling serious diseases, cancer and diabetes to devising environmentally sustainable technology and practices.
