This unprecedented time is proving that kindness and generosity in our community are stronger now more than ever. Nehemiah Builds, the nonprofit arm of The Nehemiah Company, has come up with an innovative way to support greater Arlington.
Nehemiah Cares created the Feed the Frontline Project with the mission of supporting our healthcare and first responders while also helping our local restaurants. Through the Feed the Frontline Project, Nehemiah Cares is striving to provide daily meals to healthcare workers and first responders across Arlington, Texas and surrounding areas.
“We were looking for ways that we could respond in our Arlington community and meet immediate needs in this really unique time,” said Kate Jordan, Director of Nonprofit Operations and Administration at The Nehemiah Company.
Nehemiah Cares is only about $3,000 short of its goal of raising $10,000 to launch the Feed the Frontline Project. Employees at the Nehemiah Company, as well as local builders and members of Gathering Church Viridian, have already made financial contributions. “Knowing the people of Arlington are really generous and community-focused, we think we’ll get there,” Jordan said.
Greater Arlington is truly a community that cares. We are proud to see members of the community coming together to find creative ways to give back. We are stronger together, and we can achieve and overcome anything when we support one another.
