Arlington, TX – Dec. 8, 2025 – The Women’s Alliance of the Greater Arlington Chamber is thrilled to announce Conni Reed, Founder, CEO & Chief Creative Officer of Consuela, as the keynote speaker for the 15th Annual Inspired Women Luncheon on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at the Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center. Presented by Chase, the full-day event runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., featuring morning professional development sessions, pre-show activities, a luncheon and the brand-new “After Party Marketplace” at Texas Live!, featuring local woman-owned shops and women artisans.
After a decade in the corporate world, Reed decided to follow her artistic passions and founded Consuela on three guiding principles: Create Art, Support and Uplift Women, and Work in Mexico. Nearly 20 years after selling her first handbag at a Canton, TX, market in March 2006, Consuela has grown into a beloved fashion lifestyle handbag and accessories brand well-regarded for bold, vibrant prints, embroideries, glitters and layered material explorations that bring joy to women.
Reed’s signature Art of the Unmatched™ design philosophy comes to life through intentionally collaged juxtapositions of textiles, colors and textures — honoring the contrast and complexity that define a life well-lived. Inspired by her own story of growing up between small-town Texas and Boulder’s 1980s new wave scene along with frequent childhood road trips to Mexico, Reed’s designs create a visual diary of contrasts: rugged yet fantastical, bold yet heartfelt, messy yet beautiful—all blending artistry with function.
Headquartered in Austin, TX, and León, Guanajuato, Mexico, Consuela has grown from a one-woman garage based entrepreneurial operation to an internationally recognized brand. With the mantra ‘Make Today Ridiculously Awesome!’ Consuela continues to design with purpose and intention — celebrating resilience, creativity and connection through every meticulously crafted detail.
With her dynamic vision and authentic story, Reed is perfectly aligned with the mission of the Women’s Alliance and the legacy of the Inspired Women Luncheon: to celebrate achievement, support growth and amplify the voices of women in Greater Arlington.
During the luncheon, Reed will deliver her keynote address, the Chamber will recognize the 2026 scholarship recipients and the woman-owned small business grant recipients and will highlight the 2026 Hero Award and Rising Star Award honorees.
New to this year’s event, attendees can walk across the street and visit the Inspired Women After Party Marketplace at Texas Live! – a curated space for local woman-owned businesses and artisans to showcase and sell their products. The event also includes professional development opportunities and interactive pre-show activities.
Past speakers include Tashunda Brown Duckett, now President & CEO of TIAA; Kellie Fischer, CFO of the Texas Rangers; Kelli Finglass, Director of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and sportswriter Charean Williams, the first woman to have a vote for the Pro Football Hall of Fame and the first woman to serve as president of the Pro Football Writers Association.
