The season of giving is here, and students in the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy are making a difference. The Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy is shaping Arlington ISD students into servant leaders.
The students in the Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy are empowered and given the tools to give back. As a part of “Do Good December”, the students raised funds to purchase books for children at Rankin Elementary.
Students in the Leader Academy worked together to collect donations from each class at the Dan Dipert Career and Technical Center. Chick-fil-A rewarded a catered lunch to the class with the most donations. After purchasing the books, the AISD high-school students visited Rankin Elementary and read to the children.
The Chick-Fil-A Leader Academy is engaging the youth in our community. Helping AISD seniors complete a service project is creating civically-minded leaders. Chick-Fila-A is a perfect example of how businesses can develop the future workforce and practice corporate citizenship.
Workforce development is a key part of the mission of the Chamber. Through the Partners in Education Committee (P.I.E.), businesses can shape the future of their company by building a sustainable talent pipeline. By engaging with (P.I.E.), businesses also earn social capital with their employees, clients and customers as a reputable business invested in our community’s future.
