Entrepreneurs benefit local economies and shape the future by stimulating economic growth and fostering innovation. Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW), Nov. 17-23, celebrates the innovative spirit of entrepreneurs through an annual series of events featuring speakers, panels, showcases and valuable networking opportunities. GEW also provides resources and connects entrepreneurs with potential collaborators, mentors and investors.
North Texas ranks as one of the largest economies in the United States, and entrepreneurs add vibrance and diversity to our every-growing portfolio of business industries.
Whether you’re an aspiring business owner or a community member looking to support local startups, GEW is a fantastic opportunity to connect, learn and be inspired by the entrepreneurial spirit that continues to drive this community forward.

The Greater Arlington Chamber believes entrepreneurship is a vital component of the local economy, and it starts by nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit from an early age. In partnership with the Arlington ISD, the Chamber actively fosters this spirit in students from 3rd – 12th grade through the “What’s Your Big Idea?” Entrepreneurship Contest.
This contest empowers young minds to unleash their creativity and innovation by challenging students to develop and pitch their ideas, showing them what it’s like to be an entrepreneur. By encouraging students to think critically, solve problems and create businesses from the ground up, we are laying the foundation for the next generation of community business leaders.
