Connect with and hire qualified Arlington ISD students for internships, practicums and jobs at AISD’s annual College & Career Expo. This free event serves as a vital platform for connecting graduating seniors with employment opportunities in Arlington, providing juniors and seniors with post-secondary options for their career pathways and showcasing practicum and internship opportunities for upcoming seniors.
This year’s expo is March 25 from 5:30 – 8 p.m. at the Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center. Arlington employers, business owners and organizations are encouraged to participate and connect with the bright students of the future. RSVP by March 18 to have your business represented at the expo.
Through the career and technical education programs, students already have hands-on experience in a variety of fields. The goal of the expo is for students to have the opportunity to find a career they’re passionate about right here in Arlington. It also aims to inform parents, underclassmen and the community about the array of post-secondary options available and provide guidance on navigating their future paths.
One to two company representatives can attend the expo, setting up a table to share about their company. Employers can interview students, discuss next steps in pursuing a job or where to find opportunities in the future. Students will be prepared for mini-interviews, with a resume or portfolio in hand.
Students attending the expo have participated in at least one of the following CTE programs:
- Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources
- Architecture & Construction
