The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce is committed to developing a strong business community and economy by investing in the future workforce of the greater Arlington area. Applications are now open for the Chamber’s three scholarship programs with deadlines approaching fast.
To date, the Chamber has awarded over $415,500 in scholarships to graduating seniors within Arlington Independent School District (AISD) and to students attending the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA) and the Southeast Campus of Tarrant County College.
Powered by the Chamber’s Women’s Alliance and dedicated to developing the next generation of female leaders, the Dr. Judith J. Carrier Scholarship Program has 10 scholarships, totaling $19,500, available for undergraduate and graduate students at UTA. This includes two nursing-specific scholarships for UTA College of Nursing students sponsored by Medical City Arlington and Texas Health Resources | Texas Health Arlington Memorial. The Chamber’s Women’s Alliance pledges to provide leadership, mentoring and empowerment to women in our business community; they present these scholarships at their annual Inspired Women Luncheon every March.
In partnership with the Pettinger Foundation, the Innovation Scholarship cultivates the next generation of engineers. This program has four $5,000 scholarships available for both undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled at UTA and on-track to obtain an engineering degree.
Investing in the bright young minds in Arlington, the Greater Arlington Chamber Scholarship has eight $2,500 scholarships to one graduating senior from each of the six high schools and the two early college high schools in AISD.
