Businesses are only as strong as their workforce. Our community is lucky to have institutions, like the Arlington Independent School District, creating a strong talent pipeline. The Arlington ISD is going above and beyond to prepare its students.
The AISD is committed to having 100% of students graduate exceptionally prepared for college, career and citizenship. With the creation of the AISD Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center, AISD students are graduating with relevant industry experience and certifications. The AISD Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center has 17 career clusters and offers students 34 industry certifications.
Businesses seeking highly-motivated and skilled talent are in luck. The Arlington Independent School District is hosting its third annual College & Career Expo March 24, 2020, 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm at the AISD Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center. The College & Career Expo’s purpose is to connect students with opportunities from colleges and employers.
Cultivating a strong talent pipeline is vital. The future of your businesses relies on the next generation of leaders; now is the time to engage them. The College & Career Expo is a great way to show the youth in our community the opportunities available to them in your industry and business.
The key to creating a skilled pipeline is reaching local talent early. The College & Career Expo is an exciting way for employers to connect with students while educating them about their business, industry and desired skills. Employers can host on-the-spot interviews for open positions. The College & Career Expo is also the perfect opportunity to recruit talent for practicums.
At the College & Career Expo, juniors and seniors will talk to representatives from colleges and businesses about their career aspirations and experience. They can gain insight into their chosen industry and showcase their skills with their resumes and portfolios.
The AISD is seeking employers from each of the 17 career pathways represented at the AISD Dan Dipert Career + Technical Center. The fastest-growing pathways are manufacturing, health science, STEM, agriculture, culinary and hospitality. While the AISD is seeking representatives from all industries, they are especially in need of support from the most in-demand career areas.
