Now Accepting Nominations for 2023!
It’s vital to our community to highlight young leaders across all industries and walks of life. The Greater Arlington Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Arlington Today Magazine, is launching its second year of 40 Under 40. This is your chance to honor a peer, a mentee or someone you admire. It’s also an opportunity to share an inspiring story of success with a larger audience.
“To ensure Arlington’s bright future, it’s our responsibility to cultivate the next generation of business and community leaders,” said Michael Jacobson, President and CEO of the Greater Arlington Chamber, “This new program enables us to showcase these up-and-comers with everyone in greater Arlington.”
We welcome all of those under 40 to be nominated (full eligibility details below). Think of the employees in your office as well as the entrepreneurs you interact with. Maybe, it’s a client or vendor that has impressed you; reach out and tell them you want to nominate them. Under 40? Ask a mentor, boss or community leader to nominate you and tell them why you feel you deserve this.

- Only fully completed nominations will be considered.
- Each essay question should be answered in complete sentences. Do not use bulleted or hyphenated lists.
- Nominations must be submitted through the online nomination form and will not be accepted via email under any circumstances.
Selection Process
- Honorees are selected based on the quality of the nomination submitted, NOT the quantity of nominations. Judges will be looking for details on the nominees’ demonstrated leadership, professional accomplishments and community contributions.
- All nominations go through a pre-screening before being sent to the judging panel made up of community leaders.
- After reviewing and scoring these nominations, the panel will meet to discuss the merits of the candidates until they reach a consensus on the top 40.
- Those selected will be notified in August 2023 and the official list will be announced publicly in September 2023.
